Snake

Blending its way around my sight. It’s hiding, not wanting to be found, and not being visible. It’s a chameleon. Able to fit in the visual of those who come about. It knows that the sight can play tricks. It will play tricks. It will slay quick. It already has it’s eyes on a prize. Don’t freeze, don’t attack, just step back! Don’t tease, don’t slack, or become a snack..

One look and it’ll have you cold as stone. Second look will send chills down your bones.

The snake, it’s waiting for the broken. It can come in many different forms, so keep your third eye open.

Happy New Year!

A new year and another decade are here! Cheers and blessings to everyone for new journeys with more adventures!

• Start reading one to two books per week.
• Finish the book that I’m writing.
• Focus more on developing my inner peace as I step into my 30’s.

Trophies

Survival of the fittest, and the winners take all. Are we the winners? Looks like the tournament has ended, and the talking medals, have received the final call.

The shiny deeds that we win. Radiant embodiments dipped in skin. Objects that are covered in print. Prizes that are well spent. Hearts, with a touch of sin. Yearning shapes from within.

The plant next to you, holding your hand. Nature’s blessing and gift. The investment of square land. Cups that can’t be held apart. After the game, it’s a victory of hearts.

Trophies, rewards that we hold closely.

Differences

I don’t want to hurt for someone’s sins. Envy will start war between brothers. Gluttony will take food from others. Lust will have one looking at another. Sloth may have one hiding under a cover. Wrath would tempt a war between lovers. Greed turns the truth undercover. Pride turns the lie into wonder.

Why does it matter what anyone does in their time? Believe me, to each their own. Just as long as it’s not causing harm. What’s it to some people? How is it affecting them? How is your effect going to change people’s affections?

Different scenes with a million and one beliefs, and yet, we’re living in blind action. A disconnected unity of factions. Is that the attraction?

Random of the Day: Timing The Priming

A great week is here; it’s the first week, of the last month..in the year, and the end of a decade.

Making my harmonic heart skip a beat. You’re a melodic tune, rocking me off, my giant feet. Anyone dare look upon you, they’d be frozen by your beauty. It would be cliche’, to say, that you look like an angel. What does an angel really look like?

Instead, I’ll tell you the truth. If the aurora borealis had a home, it would be your beautiful, magnetic soul. A warm star during the day. The sun and moon child, who’s aura can move a Great Lake. You’re the bright light, lighting up, the darkened sight. Only you can make me see the powerful colors at night.

The Dragon Prince (Netflix) TV Show Review

This review contains minor spoilers!

It’s been awhile since I’ve watched an animated TV series. The last ones being Avatar: The Last Airbender, and it’s spin-off, The Legend of Korra. Both shows are truly awesome, and if you have time, I highly recommend checking them out!

The Dragon Prince is an animated, fantasy Netflix show created by Aaron Ehasz and Justin Richmond. This show is sooo magical, literally and figuratively!

The Dragon Prince follows the journey of princes Ezran (Sasha Rojen), his older half-brother Callum (Jack De Sena), and a young elf, Rayla (Paula Burrows), as they embark on the most important mission of their lives – to return the dragon prince to his mom and stop a war between humans and magical beings that’s tearing apart their continent of Xadia.

I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly The Dragon Prince drew me in. Here I am, flicking through Netflix (which can take hours! You bingers understand me.), and this was being advertised. I put it on, not really thinking about much, and I was soon glued to the TV. My niece and nephew joined me in watching, and soon after, my nephew thought he was a wizard! What I like about this show is that kids, teens, or adults can watch and enjoy it. It deals with enough themes for everyone.

One reason why this show is so good is because of the unlikely pairing of the main characters. In the show, the humans are at war with the magical creatures. The continent of Xadia is split in half, with humans occupying one half, and magical creatures occupying the other. The border of both sides was monitored by the dragon king, but he’s killed off before the show starts. That’s why the main characters Callum, Ezran, and the elf, Rayla, makes the show interesting. They’re suppose to be enemies, but they come together to protect the dragon king’s offspring, and stop the wars between the two opposing sides.

The show gets dark pretty quick. The humans start practicing dark magic, in which they need to use the essence of magical beings to do so. They actually have to kill them! So….this is maybe why the magical beings aren’t feeling the humans.

Another thing I really liked was how diverse the characters are. Its always awesome to see characters everyone can relate to.

These streaming apps are pushing out gem after gem! I’m swamped with shows, which is a blessing for a TV lover! This show currently contains three seasons, with a forth season coming out in 2020!!

For all of you cartoon lovers out there, I recommend checking out this beauty of a show. Even if animated shows aren’t your thing, at least check it out because of the story! It’s funny, witty, full of magic, has a dark streak, and the relationships are developed in a great way. It’s another one of the great aspects of the show. Definitely give it a watch – you WON’T be disappointed!
