Random of the Day: Changing

Meditating has really changed my life. Before meditating, my temper was a little unbecoming, I let little things bother me, was easily distracted, very distrustful, you name it. My story is like everyone else’s. You go through things in life, it changes you for the good or the bad. When I realized I was stuck in a stump, I decided to change. Not only my surroundings, but my way of thinking, my diet, became an Herbalist, started meditating, and embraced everything nature…well except insects, or anything with a lot of legs. I almost died the other day when a spider was on me. Still haven’t changed my way of thinking with that, yet… Picking up meditating, it’s mellowed me out dramatically. When things start to bother me, I take a breathe and feel full of life. It’s like this newfound happiness. I love it!!

I read a blog a few weeks ago, which argued that we actually have three brains: heart, gut and brain. I implemented this into my meditation, and wow, It’s been a wonderful experience. It’s as if my psyche has been injected with a dose of utopia. Gave me a new outlook on meditation.

This is my random thoughts of the day…change has been a blessing. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I’m very thankful and happy, and just wanted to share some peace, love and happiness. ❤️

Mulan (2020)

After procrastinating just a tad bit, I’ve finally got around to watching the new trailer for Mulan. And can I just say, this movie looks like it’s going to be AWESOME! Growing up, I was a big fan of the Disney movie. Who can forget Mushu, the little talking dragon. Eddie Murphy (voice of Mushu) is a comedic genius. He brought Mushu to life, having some of the funniest one-liners.

To my surprise, I read that Mushu is not going to be in this live-action movie. Was I sad at first, yes. Though, after reading a little bit more about the premise, I see that this movie is based more on the original tale of Hua Mulan. If you’re like me, you grew up on the Disney version, and that’s the only version you know. Am I embarrassed, definitely! Though I’m very thankful for the learning opportunity. After reading the premise, and learning about Hua Mulan, I’m even MORE excited that Disney has decided to go this route.

The story has a feeling of empowerment, courage, strength, and spirit, and the trailer definitely delivers on all these elements! The fight scenes look amazing, the cinematography is stunning, and the acting looks superb, this is certainly a recipe for a tremendously good movie!! Can’t wait to watch. Mulan comes out next year, and I’ll definitely be catching it.

Mixture of Dreams Part Four

knock. Knock. KNOCK. The Giant heard at the door. Who is it, he asked? “It’s the Three Little Pigs, and we’re bored.” The Giant let them in, from out of the forrest. Large, medium and small, he fixed them some porridge. They ate and laughed, and told funny stories. Something about the Pigs being a wolf’s quarries. The Giant told them about the wolf in the woods. And how… he ate Lil Red Riding Hood. The Pigs looked in fear, and wanted to call it a night. The Giant offered a ride in the Nautilus boat, it was only right.

*Row…*row..*row..the boat, gently down the stream. Three Pigs and a Giant, wow, they were quite the team. They passed Londons bridge, which was falling down. Finally arriving, in old Storybrook town. Straw, sticks and bricks, their houses appear. Fee-fi-fo-fum, The Giant sensed night was near.

The Giant bid farewell, and left the old town’s road. He was so tired, he could kiss a toad. He had a lot of fun, it was stellar. To his surprise, being quite the storyteller. The Giant got home, and went straight for his bed. And soon he was out, like the horseman’s head. The exhausted Giant, dreamed of flying sabers of light. Sweet dreams you all, this Giant, wants you all to have a wonderful night.
